outfit du jour: wishful thinking

This is one of my favorite dresses. I hardly ever wear it because of my disdain of short sleeves (on me) and wearing something over it ruins the dress completely. The back and shoulders are crocheted; I actually bought it several years ago when crochet wasn't really 'in' (maybe why it was on the sales rack for somewhere between $5-$10) but I instantly loved it. Sometime soon I think I'm going to write a post about the benefits of buying new and the benefits of thrifting. But not today. Oh, and I did my hair in a Heidi braid again. It looks kind of weird up close because I have so many layers, but this is one of the few ways I actually like wearing my hair up.

    I love your LOVE necklace and the dress you're wearing is beautiful. I think it's worth wearing more often..

    you look so pretty, I love it, so sweet and romantic. The crochet details on the shoulders and sleeves are awesome. It takes a fashionista like you to discover it! You look absolutely cute in cap sleeves so don't hate them. The braids are so adorable I'm amazed at how you managed to do it on your own, so neatly!
