I'm so glad that it's finally Thursday because I've missed doing Thursdays are for Thrifters the last few weeks. I decided to take a break from it over the holidays because I figured most people weren't doing much thrifting or blogging and participation had been down quite a bit. But I'm bringing it back today and hope you guys want to participate! Let's see what you've been wearing and what you've found on your shopping trips.
The rules for 'Thursdays are for Thrifters'...
1. Be a follower of Spunky Chateau via Google Friend Connect or Bloglovin'.
2. Submit your link below (next to that little blue frog-lookin' guy at the bottom of this post).Your links must be less than one week old at the time you post them and must include either photos of one or more thrifted finds OR an outfit post featuring at least one thrifted item. This link party will be open for one week. You may make multiple submissions.
3. Link back to this post for each submission you make (Your link may not be posted unless you include the URL in your blog post.)
4. Check back to see everyone's thrifted finds!
Yesterday I went on a quick shopping trip to my local Goodwill and was really excited since I hadn't gone thrifting in a while. I ended up doing great, for about $30 I picked up nine books, three records and these pieces:
Brand New Urban Outfitters Kimono with tags, $2.50.
Vintage Sweater with Front Pocket: $2.50.
Hand Crocheted Vest, $2.50.
Plaid Top (I don't think you can ever have too many.), $2.50.
Oversized Calvin Klein sweater, $2.50.
Vintage Shirt/Dress thing (I'm going to belt it and wear it as a dress), $2.50.
F21 Sweatshirt, $2.50 (This is an example of how you should never pay attention to sizes in thrift stores. I'm usually a S and this shirt is a 2X. But it must have drawn up some. It's still big, but I plan on wearing it super loose. Rather than thinking about the sizes, think how you want something to fit. Do you want it to be loose and baggy or short and tight?)
Vintage Striped Top (This top is sooooo thick and machine washable. It's a great basic to add to my winter wardrobe.), $2.50.
Vintage Shirt: $2.50.
Oversized Rose Shirt: $2.50. Some of you may know that I already have a F21 sweater that is kind of similar to this, but I have a plan for them both!
Soooo, that's it! What have you guys found?
I love me some floral shirts! Good advice on the sizing. you just never know!
ReplyDeleteThose are great finds! And I have found it to be true about the sizing too.
