It's Monday so I'm linking up over at Two Birds' Inspiration Monday . I didn't try to copy the look but used it as a jumping off point and I'm pretty happy with the look (except I always forget stripes were not meant for me but I love them so I wear them anyway). I received this vintage lace collar from someone who didn't want it anymore and I pretty much love it. I feel like it took this basic striped shirt to a whole new level.
Also, ignore the photos being out of order. I'm still trying to get adjusted to the new Blogger program. And being sick has kept me from looking at all of last week's thrifty finds-but I'll get to it very soon!
Lovely! I do love the lace collar! It's quite funny, because what I was planning to wear was basically this same outfit as you but with the skirt red instead and my stripes were navy and white instead, I was even going to wear my white lace Peter Pan collar! However, the sun was glrious so I swapped!
Oh, that song, how I love it so. It's been on repeat at my house for the past, oh, month or so. I love this look too--I think I need me some stripes in red!
These days I'm really digging fun and unexpected accessories so I love that vintage lace collar! It really does elevate your striped top. I could see it with a bunch of layered vintage-y necklaces, or with a black off-both-shoulders dress for a real statement...THose sunglasses really suit you too!
what a pretty outfit...I like your red striped top with the vintage collar! Looks great with your hat and matching skirt. Fabulous accessories as always. The bow ring is super adorable and thrifty chic bag too.
This is a great interpretation! I love your red shoes and red striped shirt. And I love that song!
ReplyDeleteI'm basically obsessed with that song. Have been since the first time I heard it. I just listen to it on repeat. It's pathetic, really. lol.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you look great in stripes! But that lace collar with the stripes - beyond great. Amazing, really. Love this whole look.
Finally - the new blogger format is messing with me too.
amazing shoes! i love this fitted look on you, too. and red is definitely a great color on you!
